Ever since I’ve had my iPad, I needed a protective case for when it goes in my bag. I’ve seen a few on Etsy made of felt I really liked and thought I could make something similar if i could sew. I went back to Louisiana this weekend and got my sister to help me. Our Wal-Mart doesn’t sell fabric so I thought I wouldn’t find felt. I searched around the house and found my old SpiderMan pillowcase. Then we began cutting and sewing it up. Check it out below!

In April, I was able to work on a few presentation slides for a UNT Athletics pitch. I haven’t designed anything in the sports world since my internship at LSU while attending college. I was real excited to get back in the game (pun intended). I created a cover page, type styles and a few divider pages to fit within a PowerPoint theme. I really wanted to play up the “Mean Green” so I turned the photos black and white except for a few key areas of green on the player’s jerseys.

Thank you Jesse for sharing these with me! These 3 videos capture what I love most about traveling. Moving, eating and learning. Conceptually these are amazing and the production is awesome. Enjoy! I can’t stop watching them!

I personally think LSU should be ranked higher in this poll and I have no idea why Auburn is ranked #2. Can someone explain this?

My biased opinions aside, there is some great photography in the posters from Ohio State, Idaho and Wake Forest. I really like the textures in the Tennessee and LSU posters, and I applaud Penn State for doing something so graphic and different.

LetterMpress is probably one of the coolest apps out there for graphic designers. I’ve always wanted to letterpress but don’t have the space or money that’s needed to get started. Check out the video below and my first LetterMpress creation (files can be at 14″x20″).

When I first moved to Dallas over 4 years ago, I interned at Fossil’s corporate headquarters. We got sweet deals in the company store and I racked up a lot of tins from buying watches. I had these 2 sitting on my desk and decided I should do something with them. I saw a post on Pinterest that used old jars as planters and I got the idea to convert these tins to do the same. It was actually pretty easy.

First, I drilled 5 holes in the bottom of the tin. Since the lids pop off and attached to the bottom, they’re perfect for catching excess water. I filled the tins with dirt and took a trip to the Dallas Farmer’s Market where I picked up these 2 cactus.
